1 ½ tablespoons Grassland butter
4 cups apple cider
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 cinnamon sticks
1 lemon peel
Peel and juice from 1 orange
1 inch piece ginger root, sliced
1 ½ ounces (1 shot) rum
Melt butter in a medium-size saucepan.
Add apple cider, brown sugar, cloves, cinnamon, lemon and orange peels, orange juice, and ginger. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then remove the pan from heat.
Add rum. Let the liquid steep for at least 30 minutes.
Reheat to serve warm.
