Combine brown sugar, paprika, oregano, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cayenne pepper, and black pepper to create cajun seasoning. Toss chicken breasts in the seasoning.
Drizzle with ½tablespoon of oil and rub seasoning all over to evenly coat
Heat remaining 1tablespoon of oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a pan over medium-high heat until combined and hot.
Sear chicken breasts for 5-7 minutes each side until golden. Remove from the pan; set aside to rest for 5 minutes.
To make the sauce, reduce heat to medium. Add remaining butter in the pan. Once melted, sauté garlic until fragrant while scraping up any browned bits from the pan. Pour in the broth and let reduce for 2-3 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Take the pan off the heat. Drizzle sauce over the chicken.
