Season plant burger with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Once melted, add burgers.
Cook 2-3 minutes on each side (varies depending on plant burger), basting with butter throughout. Add cheese.
Transfer burgers to buns. Top each with 1 teaspoon butter.
Serve with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, or toppings of choice.
