Butter Rum Soother

Just what the doctor ordered.

Materials

  • 2 cups of water
  • 1/2 stick of Unsalted Grassland Butter
  • 1/4 cup of packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves
  • 1/8 teaspoon of salt
  • 2/3 cup of your favorite dark rum

Instructions

  • Bring water, butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt to a boil in a 2 quart saucepan over medium-high heat.
  • Reduce heat and simmer, whisking occasionally for about 10 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in rum.
  • Serve hot.
