Ingredients
Apple Butter:
- 2 tbsp Grassland Unsalted butter
- 6 apples, peeled, cored and sliced (recommend Red Delicious)
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
Margarita
- 2 ½ cups ice
- 2 oz lime juice
- 1 cup apple juice
- 4 oz tequila
- 1.5 oz triple sec
- 3 tbsp apple butter
Garnish
- Optional sugar and cinnamon rim
- Limes, sliced
- Apples, sliced
Instructions
For the Apple Butter
- Place the apples in a slow cooker.
- Add the sugars, butter, cinnamon, salt and vanilla to the crockpot. Mix well.
- Cook in the slow cooker on low for about 10 hours, stirring every few hours.
- The apple butter should be thick and dark brown. Remove apple butter from the crock pot and use a blender to puree the apple butter until smooth.
For the Margarita
- Rim glass with lime juice and dip into sugar and cinnamon mix.
- Add all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
- Pour blended mixture evenly amongst glasses. Top with ice.
- Garnish with lime and apple slices. Enjoy responsibly.
